After a great surprise party for Jordan, we got a good nights sleep and said good-bye to our friends from South Carolina.
The boys and I headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
We did the Great Movie Ride, which is one of my favorites!
Sure, it's an original, maybe even slightly outdated, but there IS this scene...
Only one off the greatest movies of all time!!!
Remember, I'm 4'10" so I may be a bit biased.
We had a quick lunch at the Backlot Express.
Then ran into Sully (also from the movie Monsters, Inc)
All those folks you see behind Sully are the marathon runners. I love to run, but 26.2 miles is just insanity!
Maybe one day.....
Because of the runners, the park was extremely crowded and difficult to maneuver around in. We found a Lights, Motors, Action show was about to start, so we headed there next.
The boys were heading back home this afternoon, so we called it a day.
When using Disney's transportation, you do a lot of "bus waiting"
After the boys headed home, Trevor and I just wanted a relaxing evening. We too were packing up to go home the following morning.
We rode down to the beach to veg out in some lawn chairs and enjoy the boat whistles.
And some wildlife
When our tummies started grumbling, we hopped on a boat and headed over to the Contemporary resort for a bite to eat.
We had quick service food at the Contempo Cafe and strolled around the resort to walk off the food we had just consumed.
Even though it was the second week of January, the Contemporary still had their gigantic wreath up.
As we made our way down the dock for our boat back to the campground, we were treated to a beautiful sunset.
Sunset over Space Mountain
As the sun disappeared, we were able to see the Castle lights come on.
Not a bad way to spend an evening!
Soon we were back at the Fort.
We watched The Magic Kingdom's fireworks from the beach and walked back to the RV to get ready for bed.
Monday morning, it's time to go home.
The sun was rising up over the dog park.
Mason hid under the table trying to avoid the end of our vacation.
But soon moved out to the dirt when the table was packed up.
Another great vacation in the books. Even living as close as we do to Disney World, we still love it as much as the first time we ever went.
