The cure for anything is salt water:
sweat, tears or the sea.

I count the days until Jordan completes his contract with the US Army and is home, where he belongs.
He returned from the front lines of Afghanistan in November of 2012 and is stationed in Washington until his service is up.
At least he came home physically unharmed, right?
At least he's in the United States, safe & sound, right?
At least he's in the United States, safe & sound, right?
He's ineligible for deployment for one year, right?
Well, two out of three ain't bad.
While Jordan has been concentrating on his schooling, keeping his nose clean and looking forward to coming home for good, along came this little dickhead.
Kim Jong Un of North Korea is apparently flexing his tiny muscles and threatening to launch some Musudan missiles.
So....my son, who just returned from a war was told to be on standby, with bags packed, ready to leave for Korea on three hours notice.
It broke my heart to get the phone call notifying me of this change of plans.
I fully support our military and have the utmost respect for these men and women. They are the reason that I can write this blog and voice my opinion, but I am also tired of this country being threatened and our kids being sent overseas and put in harms way.
MY personal solution for North Korea:
Choke on that Kim!
Since no one has asked me what I think should be done to these countries who threaten us and other innocent people, we wait.
I went through the gamut of emotions: I cried, I was pissed and I was mostly confused. Just when I got Jordan home and settled down, he may be sent away again.
So, I dried my eyes, loaded the dog in the boat and headed to the gulf.
The cure for anything is salt water.
Being that it was a Wednesday, it was unusually quiet and peaceful in the bay and just what I needed to soothe my soul.
The tide was out and Parker Island was high and dry.
Mason shared in my joy
And made himself comfortable
We were able to walk almost all the way around the island.
I followed Mason as he made his way to his favorite spot,
which is one of the small springs in the center of the island. He was neck deep in that spring before I even rounded the corner.
While Mason cooled off in the 72 degree spring water, I enjoyed the Island sights
Raccoon were here while the tide was down
Soon we headed back to our side of the island
Where we played ball, soaked up the sun and breathed in the salty air.
As the tide started to roll in and our beach got smaller, we tooled around the bay before heading back to the boat ramp.
It was the perfect way to decompress and forget about all the worlds problems!
